Paris Fashion Week – Lanvin – F/W 2011
Latest Lanvin menswear is all about “cool” – I love the crooked hats, mix of slim and wide pants, long coats, short coats, layers, colors, everything is so elegant and debonair.

5 Fashion Moments of 2010
It’s almost 2010 so let’s take a look at my Top 5 fashion moments of 2010!
5. Tom Ford Womenswear
Tom Ford finally debuted his long-awaited foray into womenswear in a extremely under-wraps fashion show, with only Terry Richardson allowed to take photographs. Glamour at its finest, it was definitely one would expect from a man who places taste and refinement above all else.
4. Gap Logo Fiasco

Never before has such an branding-related uproar been more visible to the public than the advent of the new Gap logo. Now reverted to it’s former glory(?) this incident showed that social media is more of an influence in trends now than we’d like to admit.
3. Lanvin H&M
Alber Elbaz has always said he would not make any Lanvin diffusion lines, and after much teasing by H&M, it was shocking to see that Lanvin would be their next collaboration. After an extremely large marketing ramp-up, Lanvin made it’s collaboration available to the public late November. I personally got a piece of the collection but was ultimately disappointed with the actual pieces. Nevertheless, this has people wondering ‘what will the next collaboration hold?’
2. LMVH vs. Hermes
Luxury leather goods, and holder of the coveted Birkin bag found themselves under siege by the luxury powerhouse LMVH. Bernard Arnault’s company was suddenly discovered to be holding approximately 17% of Hermes stock (later around 20%) much to the dismay of Hermes. How this plays out will definitely be a spectacle in 2011.
1. Alexander McQueen
The suicide of Alexander McQueen early this year caught everyone by surprise. Sarah Burton has stepped up to fill his shoes quite elegantly, but it is undeniable that McQueen’s passing will leave a hole in the fashion world. His looks were beauty taken to the extreme and a level of theatricality that has no match in the fashion world.
Lanvin Fall-out
A bit late posting this. I returned everything I bought simply because it didn’t fit. Oh wells – the tags and stuff were so pretty! The trench was way weird and the bowtie was way big.
I did get some nice mags this weekend though~!
Superlative Tailoring – Lanvin
Let’s see how real Lanvin is doing in this editorial from PEN magazine.
Alex Dunstan Photographed by Yasunari Kikuma
Doesn’t really quite capture the coolness from the runway eh?
New Wave by Lorenzo Marcucci
Another shoot of the Lanvin x H&M collection – can you tell I’m obsessed with this? Lorenzo Marcucci for Flamboyant Blog.
I love how he shot the trench.

Lanvin x H&M Menswear Revealed!
Finally the menswear pieces are revealed! Love the accessories and the trench, maybe even a blazer. Don’t know if I have it in me to line up, but I wants it!

Lanvin for H&M
Finally an image for the highly-anticipated Lanvin x H&M collab – no menswear, but these pieces look pretty amazing, I wonder if they’ll look the same on the rack? The fashion show is still set for Nov 2nd – can’t wait!

Lanvin for H&M
Another teaser for the H&M x Lanvin (can we find another way of signifying collabs besides ‘x’ ?) – blurred out clothes – can’t wait for the clothes to be unveiled early November!
